~ Fuse Albums ~

OK, taking a straw poll here: Is it just me, or is there something missing when photos only exist in the virtual world, and never make the bridge to existing in the ‘real’ world?

Laura and I both agree there’s just something to having photos that exist outside of computers and glowing screens. Maybe that’s why I went a little crazy when we first had our large format printer and immediately printed like 50 huge (13×19) photos – because I wanted to see what they looked like, hold them in my hand, feel the thick paper, to know they do exist outside the virtual world, that they are art and not just another photo in the digital ether. (This is also the time when I truly learned how expensive ink was!!!)

Laura and I have been shopping album companies for a while now, trying to find the perfect fit for our clients – gorgeous, of the highest quality, durable and long-lasting albums that match well with the quality and style of our work to be contained within. It’s been a long road, but…

We just received our first album from Leather Craftsmen and are excited to feature a few photos of it on the blog today – the LC albumsĀ  are each custom made and finished by hand have a lifetime guarantee, and there are also many [amazing] styles other than the one in the photos below – see their website for more samples, and if you’re a past or future client of ours and haven’t yet decided whether or not you’d like an album, think it over, and let us know if you’re interested so we can send you a sample to give you a better idea of what you’re considering!

These albums are heirlooms – there’s just something about the physical representation of the photos that you can’t get with only having them in the virtual world – so if you’re on the fence about getting an album – get one. Whether it’s from us or you make one yourself, print those photos, Betties!!
