So, there’s this girl…

Hey blogheads! (Post by TR)

So, this post has been brewing and stewing for a bit – I’m excited about it. I’ve been sort of thinking of about a million different things I could say in this one, sifting through my thoughts to try to pan out just the right way to say what I want to say here. I don’t want to do a page-puke even though I kind of feel like it, but I’ve been deliberating on this for long enough and gotta say it. So…out with it, man!

OK, there’s this girl. You may or may not know her, but if you’re reading this blog, you probably do. Anyhow, you may have seen her around town – bright blue-green eyes, about 5’5″, irresistible smile, and she’s usually with this really dorky guy – making him look good everywhere they go. Ok, so, this girl, well…I don’t quite know what to say; where do I begin?!

OK, start over. So, this girl. I’ve had a crush on her for a while – almost six years now, actually. Sometimes I think I know exactly why, but other times I’m just, drawn to her. She just has this…magnetic-ness about her. She just makes you feel like home when you’re talking to her. She’s one of those people that you know really care – that listen, that don’t put on airs, one of those rare people that you find that are truly genuine.

If that weren’t enough, she just has this heart. This amazing heart. She can make the world come alive when she smiles at you -she can make you feel like you could jump right up and fly if you wanted to.

Oh, and did i day she’s brilliant? She not only earned a crazy scholarship and got paid to get her degree in architecture, but as of May, she’ll have her master’s degree, too. Oh, and did I tell you she’s really good at it? She wins competitions, people! Her design abilities are amazing. Wait, hold on, oh yeah, she’s also a stellar photographer. And all-around artist-extraordinaire.

She’s also a bit of a bookworm, and often likes to stay up late reading. Oh, and she’s a great cook, and – this one’s really important – she’s patient with you, especially when you need it.

She’s adventurous (I don’t know anyone else that would do things like fly to China and ride a dirtbike around with me or jump in a 35 year old bus and trip to Mexico), she’s courageous, gorgeous(x10), and just – what can I say – about as ‘the complete package’ as it gets. And I have a huge crush on her.

It was her birthday this past weekend, and this amazing girl actually let me spend it with her. Here’s the pictures from her Birthday Extravaganza this year – we ate breakfast in bed, got to hold a tarantula and see lots of butterflies, went out to lunch, she got an 80 minute massage at Essentiels Spa, then we went to Estes Park, ate a wonderful dinner at Mary’s Lake Lodge, and stayed at the WorldMark (thanks Fergusons!) and had a blast staying up and eating cookies and just hanging out together. The next morning we got up and went snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park – which was absolutely beautiful – and we did some crazy ‘powder jumping.’ Anyhoo, enjoy the photos, and if you haven’t wished my Beans a Happy Birthday, give her a shout!

Oh, and don’t make fun of the cake, people. It tastes good, OK?!
