Steve & Alicia | Boulder, Colorado Wedding

Hello Bloggitos!  It’s Friday afternoon, and it’s Alicia & Steve time.  Prepare yourself for an action-packed, beauty-filled, love-drenched, happy-full experience.

We were driving in the car last night on our way up to Mount Evans, talking photography with our good friends Ben and Genny, and after telling them about some of our recent clients [such as Alicia & Steve] Ben asked us how we always get clients that are so awesome to work with. I wasn’t really sure how to answer – because I totally agree that our clients are amazing and we somehow, in my opinion, get all the best ones, however I’m not sure why. We just love what we do and we have a blast doing it, and end up meeting and working with some of the most amazing people.

Case in point – Alicia and Steve. We’ve adored working with them so much. If you’ll recall from their e-session, they are two fun-loving, laid back kids in love, and their wedding reflected them so well. It was a sweet celebration of love with their beloved family and friends, and we liked how they weren’t really hung-up on specific traditions or “rules” –  they didn’t let those things get in the way of the MAIN thing.  Which was, of course, the beginning of their marriage and a celebration of their lives together.  Alicia and Steve totally trusted us photographically and creatively, which was the best.  Alicia’s dress was gorgeous, but even better was that she didn’t let it “own” her…she basically volunteered to hike through a jungle of wildflowers.  Now that, friends, is a Colorado bride! :)  And of course her dress survived beautifully.  As shown in the photo collages below, A&S were all over the details,  which were unique, fun, and truly reflected who they are!  I mean, people, they even had a basket of heart shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the guests at the ceremony, not to mention the giant jars of delicious cookies and lemonade.  It was amazing how simple touches such as those really brought to light how much they care about their peeps, and how heartfelt and thoughtful the whole day was.

OK, in summation (I feel like I could go on forever here), we absolutely love how the photos came out and how they tell the story of the day. Thank you, Alicia, Steve, and all your amazing family & friends. And CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Everywhere in the house, tucked into every nook, cranny, and bathroom, there were Alicia’s friends getting ready. Love this shot.

Steve was looking good, if I do say so myself.

Gotcha! Beautiful bride.

Like I said, details, folks. And the TOMS with the six-pence piece? Yes please.

They set up such an amazing first look location, and we hid behind some flowers. Steve’s face is priceless. Love it.

Two words: Quintessential.  Colorado.

But never cliche, these two:

What do you think, can we tromp through the chest-high field of flowers? “Let’s do it!”

An afternoon shower…can you see the raindrops?  What else could you expect for a Colorado summer?

Ab-so-lute-ly STUNNNNNNING!!!!!!!!

Love. Love. Love.  This. Photo!

Stormy/sunny skies equal dramatically beautiful photographs at Sunrise Amphitheatre on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder!

They don’t seem happy or anything do they?  Yeah didn’t think so…

Mr & Mrs!!!!!!!!

Is it awkward if I hang this on my wall? Steve is so bad ass.

Perfect, perfect first dance at the Wild Mountain Smokehouse in Nederland, Colorado.

Love these details.  Love the pint-glass favors.  Loved the cupcakes, WOW.

Thanks Alicia & Steve…you two are awesome.  We are excited for you and can’t wait to see where married life takes you.  Hope you enjoy the photos!!!!!
