Downtown Denver Wedding: Greg & Elizabeth

How do I start? How to describe Greg and Elizabeth?  It is impossible to encapsulate all the overflowing life-force that is Elizabeth and Greg.  One thing that is for sure: they live boldly and shamelessly with open hearts to the world.  Emotional, passionate, spontaneous, REAL.  So, naturally, they are like a magnet for the people around them.

E & G met when they were second-grade square dance partners.  They lost touch after high school and reunited a few years ago in Chicago.  How cool was it to see their fateful square dance meeting come full circle twenty years later as they danced their first dance at their WEDDING!? (more on that dance later).

This wedding and this beautiful couple is a shining example of why we absolutely love doing this.  Check it out:

Setting the stage: tons of springy details! Loved her bouquet by Pretty Petals.

Beautiful Elizabeth, getting her finishing touches at the Aveda Salon in the Hotel Monaco, downtown Denver.

Preparation, anticipation!  Elizabeth was beside herself with excitement the whole afternoon leading up til when she first saw Greg.

The decor at the Hotel Monaco is so fun and colorful and funky.  This bed reminds me of Dr. Seuss!  Elizabeth was incredible in front of the camera, completely comfortable and confident, not afraid to cut loose and “WORK IT!!!”  We know most people feel a little unsure in front of the camera, but we love it when a bride can drop her guard a little, know she’s beautiful, and let her beauty shiiiiiiiine!

A completely perfect, and of course emotional, first look in their suite at the Hotel Monaco.

Then we hitched a ride in a 1947, beautifully restored Chrysler to get some downtown Denver urban shots…how hot are they!?

Love me some alley light.  Beautiful April day!

There is something I just love about this photo…it feels exciting and serene both.  And classic.

Wow, seriously…who taught you guys to be models?  So so happy, so so sweet.

Elizabeth, you are completely stunning.

When we got back to the hotel, I asked Elizabeth how she felt about running out into the middle of the street while we stopped traffic.  She thought for a split second, then got this determined, “outta-my-way” look on her face, threw her fist in the air and said, “Let’s dooooo it!” while charging out into the street.  Travis took this while I held up the oncoming line of cars.  LOOOOVE!!!! So exhilarating.

I love this moment between Elizabeth and her brother right before the ceremony.  They have such a sweet relationship.

Ok, so back to that first dance.  Elizabeth is a dancer, and dance instructor, at From the Hip Dance Project.  They started out in a nice sweet slow dance, and a few minutes into it broke into this amazing hip-hop dance routine that she choreographed herself! OMG it was so awesome.  I look at these pictures and see how much Greg loves her…he was totally into it and totally rocked it.  They are so rad. =)

I (obviously) could not decide on just one of these to post.  I almost always love “toast reaction” photos…but these just represent E & G so well, I had to post the whole medley of them.  The toasts were, to say the least, quite entertaining.

It was so hard to choose photos for the blog, we loved so many of them. Check out the slideshow for more….

Elizabeth and Greg, you guys are amazing and we hope you love your photos!!  Thanks for letting us be a part of your day!!!  Enjoy!
