For months Clara and Robert had been planning an intimate fall wedding at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. We were excited about exploring a few different spots in the park with them following the ceremony, capturing the majestic peaks and fall colors in the backdrop of their photos. After Estes Park (and many surrounding areas) were hit hard by flooding on September 12 and 13, their plans were unfortunately derailed and they had to scramble to implement Plan B. I know they were discouraged at the time, but their Plan B turned out to be incredibly beautiful. They relocated the ceremony to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs and tracked down an available officiant and musician. The ceremony was simple and genuine and comfortable and intimate, with just close family present.
