Chris & Erin

Chris and Erin picked an absolutely glorious September day to promise to love each other forever. Warm and sunny with a hint of fall in the air. Their ceremony was moving and rich, a traditional Catholic ceremony held in the breathtaking Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Denver. These two had friends and family flying in from far and wide to attend, and it was so apparent how loved and cherished they both are. After taking some bride and groom portraits at Cheesman Park, including plenty with their sweet ride for the day–a classic 1930 Model-A–we headed over and up to the reception, held in the elegant ballroom on the 37th floor of the Grand Hyatt hotel.

Our perspective at weddings as semi-outside observers is so interesting, and the more we do it, the more we love witnessing these incredible, intimate, unique and happy events. Roaming the dance floor at Chris and Erin’s reception, we just smiled and felt so full of life watching and photographing the many couples in love, young and old, embracing in a slow dance with eyes closed; the kids dancing with their parents; the grandfather dancing with granddaughter; Chris and Erin tearing it up with longtime friends.

Chris and Erin just light each other up. We love the way they look at each other, and the way their love shows through in the photographs. We love the way their warmth extends out to everyone they meet.

Thank you, Chris and Erin, for being such amazing people – you’re yet another reason why we tell everyone that we somehow get all the best couples to shoot. We were absolutely blessed to be a part of your wedding, we hope you had a fabulous time in Italy, and we hope you enjoy your blog of photos!
