T-T-TO da moon, Alice!

Good Eve, blog stalkers and stalkerettes (all 3 of you)

I thought we’d kick off the weekend with a few random thoughts and a photo from tonight of Moon and his half brother’s uncle, Venus. Venus was visiting ole’ Moon for about an hour this evening, and our gracious neighbor, Dale, rapped on our door and let us know about the event. He also let us take a look at it through his telescope…which leads to Random Thought #1:

  • The universe is amazing! A couple of our friends live in a house in Denver, and the house next to theirs has a an actual observatory built onto the side of the house, with the miniature dome on top and all. I was pretty perplexed by this, as the neighborhood is not really a nice one per say and it just seemed out of far left field for such a house in such a place to have an observatory built in. After seeing the moon with my own two eyes through Dale’s telescope tonight, however, I feel like I can understand a little more why some person would spend more on building their own personal observatory than on, say, making their house look a little nicer. Maybe when I’m an old fogie I’ll build myself an observatory and can stare at the wonders of the universe, or at least make friends with the Moon.

Moving on, this week was a good week. We’re rolling along, still feeling ignited and inspired by all the people we met and speakers we heard at WPPI in Vegas. We’re becoming increasingly excited about not only photography as our artistic craft, but also as a business and where it can go. We’ve been teetering over the past year or so, debating on whether we should just go all in and see where it takes us or whether we should continue to ‘stay the reins’ and just take it as it comes. With that, here’s Random Thought #2:

  • We want to thank everyone who is a fan of our work and of what we do. People, we have been blown away by your comments on our work, and so extremely encouraged that it’s hard to express. From the little ‘mentions’ to the direct compliments, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, and we hope to continue to provide our clients, past and future, with amazing photography that captures and inspires.

On that note, after much thought we’ve decided to jump in and see where our photography can take us, and are starting to turn some wheels on our big launch scheduled for this Fall. We’ve got a lot of things in the works for Fuse, and are really looking forward to seeing where we can go with it. So stay tuned!

And, with that, I am all out of random thoughts for the evening. So, goodnight and farewell blogheads! Have a great weekend, and see you next time!
