We got to stay with my cousin Lindsey in HOLLYWOOD and she was an amazing hostess! We got a comprehensive tour and education of LA in one day and we loved it.
We thought these were a little structurally awkward, but very pretty. The trunks are sooo skinny!
Lindsey works in production on a real, actual TV show. We got to go visit the studio…so cool to see behind-the-scenes! Anyone know what show??

We ended up here!! Behind the sign. Such an amazing view. We even saw what happens when you try to climb the letters. (a scary sounding person yells at you through a megaphone)No, this is not a picture of a man and his two small children.
Where we ended up last night: Carpinteria, CA…stealing borrowing Wifi from a cafe long after it had closed for the night…then camped right next to the beach.

Darren - Nice Shots! So cool to be above the hollywood sign! I’ve only seen it from the ground. I really do love that area, the way the hills are rolling and the houses just sit up top and down low and stuff. i know that sounds odd, but they just look so cool. Thanks for sharing!

Elyse, Ash, and Mom, thanks!! We didn’t try to climb the letters of the Hollywood sign as there were big fences and huge signs threatening prosecution and whatnot, but some people coming from down below tried to. They got reprimanded by a mysterious man’s voice coming through a huge loudspeaker mounted on top of the mountain…it was rather funny!
