Road Trip 2010

We embarked yesterday on an epic journey of the American west.  Ok fine, epic might not be the most appropriate adjective…but any trip with Guanella should probably be described that way. :) If you don’t know Guanella, you can get to know her a little here.  You’ll also get to know her if you continue to follow us as we blog about our trip.  We are currently in Moab, Utah on the first stop of our journey.  We are heading out to California and will drive up the coast to Seattle, then down through Yellowstone and back home…all in a little under 2 weeks.  That’s a lot of mileage, a lot of geography, a lot of climate zones, a lot of ocean, a lot of VW-style unpredictability, and a ridiculously lot of fun.

The drive to Moab was gorgeous…in one section of I-70 near Glenwood Springs, it was pouring sideways rain and the canyon walls were covered in lush green growth, with the mist and fog hanging over the rock.  We felt like we were in some insane fantasy land.  Totally gorgeous, and the photos definitely don’t do it justice.

We got to meet up with some old/new friends here in Moab – Lindsey and Darren – and explore Arches National Park with them.  Photos of that to come later.  I say old/new because although we just met them earlier this month, we FEEL like they are old friends.  They are on a crazy awesome adventure and we had the pleasure of having them stay with us in Boulder for a few days.  Read about what they are doing HERE!

Enjoy a few through-the-window photos from our trip thus far!  We are going to make an effort to blog most days, so check back! Also, we have a pile of fantastic photos sessions to blog, and so those will hopefully be interspersed in there as well.  Adios for now!

This is where we LIVE! Why are we leaving, could it actually get better?!!  Just kidding ;)
