Fire!!

Hey Bloggies! And happy Tues-Monday! I went out last night and biked and bushwacked up to a vantage point on top of a ridge to get a good view of the Four Mile Canyon fire, and spent a little time getting some shots. Here’s my fave, below.

It’s a 15 second exposure, however the hot spot where the fire is located isn’t blown out – which it should be. Can anyone guess what kind of trickery I used to keep it from blowing out in the exposure? Hint: It was super high-tech.

Also, send up some prayers for the people’s whose homes are up there, and for the courageous people fighting the fire such as Ben, of Lisa & Ben.

Darren - wow! crazy shot. i love it. will be praying for ben and others fighting the fire.
i think you took 2 different images….one exposed 15 seconds and the other exposed for the fire and stitched them together. yes no?ReplyCancel

Travis - Fuse Photographic - Thanks Darren! And great guess. No stitching involved, however, to keep the fire lower intensity. Others? The winner gets unparalleled fame and glory forever!!!ReplyCancel
