First of all, Lindsay and Jeremy found us through a random stranger at a casino who recommended us when he overheard them talking about needing a photographer. Second, we quite possibly have not met another couple with such unique, crazy, and awesome plans for their wedding, which is set to take place next summer on a yacht in Minnesota. I won’t reveal them, but they have some super rad ideas up their sleeves. :) Thirdly, we were so so so excited about this engagement session, because we knew how much they wanted their photos to be a unique expression of who they are. In Lindsay’s words, “we tend to act like 5-year-olds a lot, and love just being crazy and having fun” (or something like that)! Heck yes, we can roll with that! We loved shooting these two. They are a fantastic combination of goofy, laid-back, hilarious, adorable, considerate, and so easy to be around. They’re the kind of people that make everyone just feel like old friends.
They are water-lovers, so we started off the session at the recently (finally!) re-opened Boulder Falls, just up Boulder Canyon from Boulder. (That’s a lot of Boulders.) All four of us jumped right in and got a nice shower…shoes, cameras and all, however Lindsay and Jeremy came out a little more drenched than we did. They did their thing and we got to capture them hanging out, being together and having a blast. After that we headed out to some dirt roads and open fields just north of Boulder, and they brought along their Corgi pup, Hazel [with whom they are both totally smitten]! We cracked up, however, after Hazel went exploring the fields on her own during the session and had an incident involving a cow patty and some rolling around, which they were not too pleased with….
Thanks Lindsay and Jeremy…you guys are so awesome. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your lives and letting us capture some of your love + personality! Hope you enjoy!!!
Lindsay - You guys are so sweet! These pics are awesome and we can’t wait to see the rest. Thank you for risking your equipment for us and our quirky/spontaneous/crazy (all of the above) ideas :)
We seriously couldn’t have asked for a more perfect match. We knew it was awesome when you said we had a choice of a few “adventures” for our photo session.
Hope all the mosquito bites have healed!
p.s. GO BUCKEYES!
Lindsay, Jeremy + Hazel - p.p.s. that was supposed to be from Lindsay, Jeremy AND Hazel!
Amy Wigand - These pictures of Lindsay Jeremy and Hazel are awesome. I am a family friend of Jeremy and grew up with Jeremy and so it is so fun to see him in love. Great Job!!!!
Tracy Howe - Those are awesome pictures! You two look so cute together! I hope you two were cuddling with Hazel before she rolled in the poo…lol
Ashley - Wow. These are so different + creative. LOVE!! Their personalities definitely shine through. The photo of them laying on the rocks, is my FAV! Playing in water is so fun :)
Jenn - You two are so amazing together and these pictures really show that! I am so happy for the two of you. Also the photographer is/was fantastic they did a great job capturing the love and fun you guys have together (I also love that Hazel was the star of the photo shoot – the picture with you two kissing her about sums it up). I love you both and cannot wait until your wedding!!!!!
Stephanie - Lindsay, I love the pictures! I like the one of you two laying on the rock but I think the black and white of you laughing is the perfect snapshot of your personality. And Jeremy definitely seems a like the right fit for you if these photos reflect your relationship. You were always so much fun to be around and it looks like he just adds to the fun! The pictures are beautiful and I’m sure your wedding will be just the same! I’ll keep an eye out for those pictures next summer. :)
