Brad & Kelsey | Oklahoma Wedding Photography

A few weekends ago on a Friday we found ourselves sitting on a small plane headed for Oklahoma City, our photo gear stuffed into the baggage compartment just above us and the ground moving by quickly far beneath us. We stepped off the plane at Will Rogers Airport, did a quick outfit change in the bathrooms (at which time I noticed my poor packing skills – my outfit was super-clash with black shoes and dark green pants and brown belt and…well, you get the picture), picked up our rental car and headed to Brad and Kelsey’s rehearsal (as guests, not photogs).

As I mentioned (or, rather, novelled) in their e-session post a few months back, Brad is a dear friend of mine from high school, and it was an honor to get to shoot him and Kelsey’s wedding on Saturday. They have such a unique connection and history, and if you can’t tell by their gleaming faces, they’re happy together. Brad was suited up and looking studly (sans St. Louis baseball cap, mind you) and Kelsey was absolutely fabulous in her gorgeous dress; before the wedding you could see the nervous excitement in both of them. We even got Brad to do a cartwheel on the lawn (see the photo below)!!

Their sweet ceremony was held at Quail Springs Baptist Church, which had a great little enclave of trees right outside that allowed us to get some of the after-shots below. For their reception we jaunted down to the Hall of Mirrors in downtown Oklahoma City, which was great with its tall ceilings and classic styling. It was also the perfect place to watch Brad moonwalk on the dance floor!!

As usual, Laura and I loved getting to go down to Oklahoma and spend time with dear friends – we got to meet so many awesome people and really enjoyed it (and I particularly enjoyed getting to see the huge smile plastered on Brad’s face throughout the day!!).

B&K, from both Laura and I, congratulations you two!!!! We wish you both a long, happy life together from the bottom of our hearts and we hope you enjoy the photos for years to come!!
