Happy Birthday! How cute is that pic from when he’s little! He looks like he’s strait out of a summer camp movie, too Precious!
Ahhhhh, from that cute little boy (did I mention sometimes mischievous) to a wonderful handsome man !!
Happy Birthday Trav : )
This is priceless. Happy Birthday Travis!
Yes, Happy Birthday Travis, Hope it was a good one!!! Aunt Caren
Thanks Caren!!
Alicia, thank you!
hehe, thanks Aunt Jean & Dianne. You guys are great :)

We’re rolling down the highway, pushing almost 65. As our orange bread-loaf-of-a-VW-bus presses on through the wind, the white centerlines stripe by, one after another, without end. I look up to see a white plastic bag blow across the highway in front of us, trying hard to make its way across the plains of Wyoming....

I am in LOVE with the pic of Guanella and the stars! So amazing!
Wow, you guys have been busy this summer! This is a great post; I particularly like “Guannella taking off into space.” We should hang out some time soon.
Soooooo jealous you got to see the fireworks over the Space Needle! That time lapse is incredible!
Truly spectacular photos. I would say more, but I don’t think words do some of these photos justice.
Awesome. I love looking into your lives.
Thanks.
Your work never ceases to amaze me. Always fresh, interesting, and artsy. Isn’t it great being in love with what you do?! Love youse guys, Mom
Ely – Thank you!!! Me too!
Nick – we HAVE been mad busy, but the summer’s been amazing!
Holly – the fireworks over Seattle/the water were insane. I wish I would have actually done the time lapse for a longer time and concentrated on making it really good; I just kind of set it up last minute and let it go. Maybe next time! (hehe)
Lindsey – thank you. Seriously appreciate it :)
Heather – anytime!! Let’s talk soon, yeah?
Mom – yes :), and thank you Muddah! Love you too!!

Hello faithful friends! We are still alive and Guanella is still moving! We’re currently sitting in Cafe Presse, in Hipsterville, Seattle, WA. We have been too busy driving, drinking in beauty, editing recent client sessions, or lacking internet access to post the past few days, so I will pick up where we left off….leaving Carpinteria,...

100% AHmazing. Freaking love it.
So beautiful! You guys hit all my favorite spots. I’m familiar with that one overlook that seems to be photoshopped. I stopped at that exact spot around sunset on my first drive up there because the view was just absolutely insane. Then I looked down at the water and saw two guys surfing. I have no idea how they got down there. And the beach in Carmel is one of my all-time favorites. Looks like you guys had a blast!
You guys are so cute and fun! We miss ya! But we are so looking forward to this next leg of the drive up the coast….seeing your pictures makes me even more excited b/c we’re about to see it fo’ real! We’ve extended our SoCal stay a bit longer than expected, but should be heading in and out of LA over the next week and then its beach beach beach all the way up!! I’ll have to keep that restaurant Nepenthe in mind. Let us know any other must sees!! Glad you guys and Guan are doing well. Lulu sends her best.
Trav these pictures are absolutely incredible! definitely inspiring me to take a road trip to the west coast some time!
My favorite are the beached seals…what beautiful creatures.
Indeed. They reminded me of you Jared. ;)
Patrick, do it!! You won’t regret it…such awe-inspiring beauty. There is so much out there that God has created that we don’t even know exists, and there is nothing like experiencing it. ROAD TRIP!!!
Aw, heck Lindsey! Thanks! We miss you kids too – when the haybales are you coming back this way?! I told Darren on the phone yesterday, but you should make a point to camp at Flint Ridge in Redwood National Park – so amazing. It sounds like you guys are taking it easy (doing it the right way) and meeting lots of cool folks…right on :). OK, Guanella wanted me to tell you that she misses Lulu, and would like to hang out again!
Lindsey, thanks again for being such an awesome LA host!! We made it home in one piece!
Ashley, your head is amazing! Hah!
[...] And they have a cute old VW van that they lovingly call Guanella (which they are actually on a road trip with right now) that they wanted to be photographed with, so right off the bat we had a great start [...]
